Dusty Fried Chicken is a real simple and quick Fried Chicken Recipe that you can make anytime of the day. Unlike other Fried Chicken Recipes that require many ingredients, this Dusty Fried Chicken Recipe only make use of minimal ingredients to give the dish a delicious taste.
Why call it Dusty Fried Chicken in the first place? Simple, we dust it with AP flour after the chicken is marinated completely before frying. Doing so will avoid the hot oil from splattering and can help give the chicken its nice crisp texture.
When frying, you can use a cup of oil to pan-fry the chicken or you can add more to the point that you are deep-frying it. I recommend using the minimum amount of oil just for this Fried Chicken recipe because the results will pretty much be the same. Also, you can save more money if you use less cooking oil.

Hi! First and foremost, I’d like to say thank you. I really find this site helpful. I think I’ve already tried 3 recipes from this site. And my host family says that it tastes delicious. ๐
Well, I was wondering, what can I use as an alternative for all-purpose flour. My host mom here in Denmark is not familiar with the all-purpose flour and we have all kinds of flour here in the house, but none of it seems to be the all-purpose flour. And can I use olive oil instead of canola oil?
Thank you!
Vanjo Merano says
Venus, you can use whole wheat flour, potato flour, or even buck wheat flour as an alternative for all-purpose flour. Extra virgin olive oil can also be used as a substitute for canola oil. Good quality EVOO have higher smoking point compared to canola oil, which makes it a good alternative.
