My parents are from Santa Rita, Pampanga. I was born and raised in L.A. Growing up, I didn’t eat much Filipino food. My parents would cook all the time, but I’d always crave something different… Mexican, Persian, Peruvian, Chinese, etc… Now that I’m older and I have kids, I crave the Filipino dishes my parents made when I was young. It’s great to find recipes like this online! I just made this for the first time using your recipe. It tastes just like my dad’s! I added carrots to mine.

Re-potatoes being hard yet, what I did was I put it in the microwave first for a couple of minutes or fry it first until almost done then continue cooking it with the rest
