Biting into a rich, thick burger patty is arguably one of the most satisfying classic dining experiences. Perhaps it is what leads us running again and again to our favorite burger joints. But if you decide to make them, yourself, you’ll have the agency to choose your seasonings, and very importantly, sauces to match your palate. And if flavorful, copious amounts of warm gravy is your preference, you might want to try my Beef Burger Steak recipe.
You might have had a taste of this kind of dish not just in Filipino restaurants, but in dining places of all types of cuisine. This happens to be a well-loved variation of having your burger patty because of how much of a difference gravy makes in coating some well-seasoned, fried beef.
Try having some at home, by giving this recipe a shot!
Bite into a gorgeously savory and juicy Beef Burger Steak of your own making! Let’s try making this dish, starting with the patties:
We will begin by molding and making our beef patties. Put 1 lb. of ground beef, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper, and 1 beaten egg together in one container. Then grate 1 Knorr beef cube for an enticingly meaty flavor onto the ingredients, then mix them together well.
Now we are ready to shape these patties by scooping about ¼ cup of the meat mixture, and molding these into a ball shape. Then proceed to flatter this down. After doing these for your patties, start preparing to cook them.
Get your pan, and heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in it. Place your patties on the pan, and let one side of these fry, until they have turned brown. Then flip them and do the same for the other side. Once both sides of your patties are perfectly brown and fried, you can remove them from the pan, and set them aside.
Time to work on the gravy drizzled atop our burger patties:
Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan. Once this is melted properly, you may place 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour in the pan. Then cook this together in medium heat, while continuously stirring for 8 minutes. This should make a beautiful brown roux.
Proceed to pour 1 ¾ cups of water into the mix, and stir these together until they have blended well together. As you are doing this, you should be able to observe your gravy forming by thickening over time.
Then for a great deal of flavor, add your ½ teaspoon of onion powder, ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder, ground black pepper, and ¼ teaspoon of Knorr liquid seasoning into the saucepan. Cook these together for 30 seconds, then place 5 ounces of thinly sliced button mushrooms. Go on to cook this for 1 minute, then set your sauce aside.
Assemble your Beef Burger Steak, and get ready to serve:
Now we should whip out the patties we’ve set aside earlier. Place these over a cup of warm, fresh rice. And pour the gravy sauce we cooked earlier over your patties and rice.
Use 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley as a pleasant garnish atop the patties. Then you can serve this– of course, best when fresh out of the pan– and munch on with delight!

Here are a few of my recommended recipes alike to our mouthwatering Beef Burger Steak:
Pork Burger Patties
Sometimes we simply cannot deny ourselves a good burger patty on days we crave that oh-so-good and meaty classic. And one of the best things about the patty is its flexibility, as it goes incredibly with two popular side dishes– bread and rice!
But if you are looking to make burger patties with a smaller number of ingredients, while substituting your beef for a more affordable protein source like pork, this one is definitely a must-try! Only taking 40 minutes to make, these Pork Burger Patties utilize one of the simplest and easiest processes to get your burger patties crisp and rich in flavor. For this, we will be baking the meat without losing any of that juiciness!
Pork Burger Steak with Mushroom Gravy
You might prefer serving your patties with a luscious sauce to match the sometimes drier exterior of the meat, and understandably so. If this is the case, try this Pork Burger Steak with Mushroom Gravy recipe!
It has the firm texture, and savory flavor of your pork. But it is also topped with irresistible, warm gravy and mushrooms to spruce up your rice dish. It can also be partnered with some tender mashed potatoes as an alternative side. This goes particularly amazingly with the rich flavor of our gravy sauce.
Super Easy Pork Burger
With this Super Easy Pork Burger recipe, you have all of the creative freedom in how you want to cook and serve your patties. These patties will taste amazing regardless of how you like them made, whether it be baked, grilled or fried! And you also have the choice of drizzling whichever sauce you would like on top.
If you are a beginner cook wanting to hunker down on some homemade pork patties, this is the perfect recipe. Because other than its versatility, it also has the advantage of being incredibly easy to make on your own. And it involves the simplest steps of all our recipes in this article!
Salmon Patty
Burger patties need not be limited to meat, especially if you are looking for a healthier alternative. And in looking for substitutes, you don’t need to sacrifice richness in flavor. These patties utilize perfectly savory salmon fillets that have been finely chopped to integrate into our mixture.
They are also known to taste amazing with a mix of mayonnaise and ketchup as a dip, in contrast to our previous recipes that have been lovingly paired with gravy. But just like the other dishes, these can go well with rice and burger buns too!

great recipe…I have tasted also that of Jollibees version..but I suggested that the picture of the burger steak posted above would be great if you include vegetables to enhance the beauty of the picture…like tomatoes, brocolli, carrots and potato to add a burst of color to the picture above.
