In the mood for something tasty, savory and absolutely juicy? There really are just some days when all you would want is heaps of perfectly seasoned meat with a rich, salty sauce. If this happens to be one of those days, you may want to try out my Pork Chop Steak recipe!
What is Pork Chop Steak?
Should you want meat that is leaner, this is the pork steak recipe for you! This Pork Chop Steak, as the name implies, makes use of pork chops, which has a bit of a milder flavor. I would say this is a pretty simple recipe that would be right up your lane even if you are just beginning to learn how to cook. Just follow the steps with me, and you should end up with a great Pork Chop Steak in no time!
As for the flavor profile of this dish, this packs a ton of savor from the likes of soy sauce and garlic. But what I love about it is that it has just enough saltiness, which tastes perfect with the hint of zestiness we get from our lemon.

What are the Ingredients?
We must first have 4 lbs. of pork chop. And to really boost the taste of the meat, you should also pick up 1 Knorr Pork Cube, ½ cup of soy sauce, 1 lemon, 4 yellow onions you’ve sliced into rings, and 10 cloves of garlic you’ve crushed and chopped.
And we will also need 1 teaspoon of cornstarch, 2 cups of water, 3 tablespoons of cooking oil, and just as much ground black pepper as you would like to add.
How to Cook Pork Chop Steak
1. Marinating the meat
First, get a large bowl. Then you must place your pork chops, soy sauce, 5 cloves of garlic you’ve crushed and chopped, the juice of 1 lemon, and some ground black pepper inside. We will now mix these all together thoroughly. And then just let it sit for a minimum of 30 minutes to let the flavor seep in.
2. Cooking the pork
Once you are done marinating, you can heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in your pan. And then when you get the oil hot, you can add your pork chops. Fry this for just around 2 ½ minutes, and then turn it over to the other side. Cook the pork for the same amount of time, and then take the pork out of the pan.
3. Sautéing the meat with onion and garlic
Let’s get the oil left behind hot again. Then add half your onions, as well as the garlic you have left. Sauté these until the onion softens, and then toss in your pork chops. Keep sautéing for 2 minutes. Also add your remaining marinade and water, and wait for the liquid to boil.
4. Getting the meat tender
Put your Knorr Pork Cube inside, and then cover the pan. Take the heat down to the lowest setting, and let everything simmer for 45 to 60 minutes. But you can stop earlier or later depending on when the pork gets tender.
5. Putting the sauce together
Now get your cornstarch, and put it in a container with ¼ cup of water. Stir these together thoroughly, and then pour your mixture into the pan. Also toss in your remaining onions, and cover the pan. We will just keep cooking for 3 minutes more. And that’s it!

How to Serve Pork Chop Steak
All you have to do now is to put your food on a serving plate of choice. You can also have fun with the plating by arranging your yellow onions nicely on top. I love to have this with some rice to really balance out the strong flavor of our pork chops.
How to Store Pork Chop Steak
Don’t know what to do with your leftover Pork Chop Steak? You can still eat this after about three days, provided you store it properly! First of all, you will need to get the cooked pork to reach room temperature as we will refrigerate this later. Then transfer the dish to an airtight container. We can put this in the refrigerator now, and just let it stay there for about three days.
As for reheating, you can expect that the quality of the pork may not be the same. But since the sauce will have sat with the meat for a longer time, the flavor may be richer the next day. Now just get your pan, and put your Pork Chop Steak inside. Using medium to low heat, just cook your pork for about seven minutes, or until you are satisfied with the temperature of the dish.
